Irving A. Lugo, M.D. |
Irving A. Lugo, M.D. is a board certified psychiatrist. He trained at the University Of Puerto Rico School Of Medicine, and the Veterans Administration Hospital. He came to the Triad in 1987. Since then he has worked in both the public and the private sector.
Since 2002, he has been the medical director of the adult inpatient unit, and the intensive outpatient chemical dependency program at the Moses Cone Behavioral Health Center in Greensboro. He is also a clinical professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has extensive experience treating anxiety, thought and mood disorders, as well as ADHD and addictions. |

Lizette Sánchez-Lugo, Ph.D., R.D., L.D.N. |
Dr. Lizette Sánchez-Lugo is a registered dietitian with more than 25 years of experience in the field of nutrition and health. She uses science-based practices to assist clients in achieving healthy lifestyles. She coaches individuals in establishing attainable goals and guides them into the completion of these goals. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the school of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Understanding that food can be medicine, she works to empower individuals and families to achieve wellness by creating a lifestyle that incorporates healthy nutrition habits.

Leslie O'Neal, DNP, FNP-BC |
Leslie O'Neal, FNP-BC has been at the practice of Irving A. Lugo, M.D., P.A. since September of 2011. She received her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Tennessee School of Health Sciences in 2011, and possesses a Master's of Science in Nursing from UNC-Chapel Hill (2002). Leslie is licensed through the North Carolian Board of Nusring, the North Carolina Medical Board and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
She has been a Nurse Practicioner with High Point Behavioral Health since 2007, providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management to adults & adolescents, specializing in Bipolar Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Life Coaching. |

Mike Daniels, Ph.D., HSP-P |
Dr. Mike Daniels received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After completing his training at UNCG, Dr. Daniels has worked at the UNC Charlotte Counseling Center and at a private practice in Cary, North Carolina. Dr. Daniels uses a therapeutic approach that incorporates warmth, understanding, curiosity, and humor to build a positive therapy relationship with his clients. He enjoys working with clients of all ages and with a wide range of presenting difficulties including anxiety, depression, grief, impulse control difficulties and personality disorders.
Dr. Daniels is trained in traditional behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy. He also has developed expertise in the use of mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies, including Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Dr. Daniels adheres to a short-term, solution-focused model of therapy. He works collaboratively with clients to help them overcome their negative thoughts and emotions, thereby allowing them to become more intentional in choosing behaviors that are congruent with their life values.

Eric Kaplan, R.N., Certified TMS Clinician |
Eric Kaplan is a registered nurse originally from Albany, New York. He studied Sports Medicine and Psychology at Guilford College, graduating with Honors in 2001. Upon graduating he began working with children affected with autism using individually designed behavioral modification programs.
In 2004, Eric began Nursing School at GTCC. In the summer of 2005 he started working at the Moses Cone Behavioral Health Center as a Nurse Tech/Mental Health Tech and upon passing his Nursing Boards in March of 2006 stayed at BHC as an RN. In 2008, Eric was honored by his peers with the Nursing Excellence Award. |

Curtis White, Human Resources & Development |
Curtis White is a Human Resources & Development professional with over 10 years of experience working in media, marketing, education, employment, customer service, and small business development. Having spearheaded and worked with small businesses as well as large corporate ventures, including Time Warner Cable Media Sales and Forsyth Technical Community College, Curtis gained experience working directly with CEOs and business owners to create dynamic and unique media platforms as well as infrastructure and systems development.
Curtis joined Irving A. Lugo, M.D., P.A. in 2011 and provides HR & Development services to both business and clients. He also works as a Case Manager for the Opioid Replacement Therapy program. |
